HONEY BEES -- For the second consecutive year the Bayonne High School Baseball Program visited the kids at the Children's Specialized Hospital in Mountainside N.J. The players brought presents and spread some holiday cheer to the children, most of whom stay there to be cared for on a fulltime basis. After getting a tour from program director Collette Forsier, the team met some of the kids and also got to make holiday cards that were to be hung in their rooms at the facility. "The philosophy behind the trip holds more than one meaning," head coach Dave Hoffmann said. "In one respect we get to bring some positive spirit and much needed holiday cheer to all those little boys and girls who really need it. Second and most important this trip puts life into its proper perspective for our young men. No matter how difficult things may be in their lives someone out there will always be experiencing worse." The BEES Baseball Program also contributes throughout the year with other community programs: Mr.Amadeo's Ability Day Camp, the BEOF Food Drive, and Mayor Davis's Clean the Streets Program.
