The Sanctuary Concerts, the premier acoustic-music venue in suburban New Jersey, is delighted to present New Jersey’s own Southside Johnny and the Poor Fools.
Southside, along with fiddler Soozie Tyrell of the E-Street Band, keyboardist Jeff Kazee (of the Jukes and often of Bon Jovi), bassist John Conti and guitarist Tommy Byrnes, goes on a stripped-down journey through songs by artists as diverse as Bob Dylan, Mose Allison, Muddy Waters, NRBQ, Richard Thompson, Emmylou Harris, The Band, George Jones and more...plus of course reimagined versions of the legendary Asbury Jukes classics. He describes the evening as "a loose mix of songs, stories and banter between the musicians and--hopefully--the audience. Just lookin' to have a good time. No rules. No fences."
Special guest Danielia Cotton, a native of Hopewell, NJ, is a house-afire belter who has been compared to Janis Joplin and Aretha Franklin.
As always, refreshments are included in the price of admission and there is plenty of free parking.
