Hyacinth's 2013 Annual Gala & Silent Auction
The Annual Gala & Silent Auction is a fundraising event to support Hyacinth AIDS Foundation's mission to provide care, treatment education, prevention and advocacy for people living with HIV/AIDS in New Jersey and honor individuals who made a difference in the fight against AIDS. This year's Gala is on Saturday, November 2, 2013 from 7 pm to 12 midnight at Maritime Parc in Liberty State Park, Jersey City, NJ. There will be a silent auction, dinner and dancing, an awards ceremony and remarks by the honorees.
The Hyacinth Award for “Outstanding Contributions in the Struggle Against HIV/AIDS” will be presented to Terry & Faye Zealand, founders of the AIDS Resource Foundation for Children, Rutgers University Chemistry and Chemistry Biology Professor Eddy Arnold and MAC AIDS Fund.
Last year the Gala raised $91,000 to assist people living with HIV/AIDS, slow the spread of the epidemic and help the agency serve as a critical voice in the public debate surrounding AIDS in New Jersey.
