Here is some updated info for Jersey City:
Shuttles to Jersey City shelters are no longer doing pick ups from the Newport McDonald’s since that area of town is now flooded. Downtown residents who would have gone to the Newport Centre McDonald’s for a ride to one of the city shelters are now being asked to go to City Hall at 280 Grove St. for a ride to one of the shelters.
Effective immediately, all non-emergency motor vehicles are prohibited from the streets of Jersey City until further notice. A pedestrian curfew will go into effect tonight at 6 p.m. through 1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 30 The pedestrian curfew affects the following areas: Washington Boulevard east to the Hudson River; State Highway 440 west to the Hackensack River and Bayonne city line; Port Liberte; and Country Village.
In Hoboken, the curfew runs until at least 1 p.m. on Tuesday. Power lines are down at 6th and Park and 2nd and Madison.
Schools are closed in Jersey City and Hoboken on Tuesday.
