A mass of Christian burial took place Oct. 12 at St. Joseph of the Palisades in West New York for Thomas H. Ender, Sr., 68. He passed away at Hoboken University Hospital on Oct. 9. Born in the Panama Canal Zone, Thomas settled in New York before moving to West New York many years ago. He worked as a doorman in the West New York, Guttenberg and North Bergen area for 20 years before working for the Department of Public Works in West New York for the past 15 years. He was a member of the Casa Manito Senior Center in West New York, an avid Yankee fan and a communicant of St. Joseph of the Palisade Church. Thomas is survived by his wife Imelda; son, Thomas H. Ender, Jr. and his wife Kira; daughter Carmen Ender, grandchildren Zoe and Zane; three brothers, Frank, Joseph and Peter Ender and two sisters, Adrienne Quidgley and Mary Sferazza. Services arranged by the McLaughlin Funeral Home, Jersey City.
