GUTTENBERG – Mayor Gerald Drasheff and his Democratic council slate were returned to office in Tuesday’s voting. The ticket was running unopposed.

Unofficial results from the County Clerk’s office had Drasheff with 848 tallies, or 99 percent of the vote.

Council member totals were: Monica Fundora 801/33; John Habermann, 795/33; and Efrain Velez, 787/32.

In the Board of Education election, Elsa Schwarz and Sari Zukerman retained their seats with 378/28 and 378/27, respectively. But newcomer Marisol Montanez-Acosta edged out incumbent Nadine Schneider for the third post, garnering 323 votes for 23 percent. --Joseph Passantino
