The holiday season 2013 for Liberty Realty has meant a series of fundraising events, awards, and donations to worthy causes.

Liberty Realty joined forces with Mills Tavern in Hoboken on Thursday, Nov. 21 to host an exclusive happy hour for Liberty Realty agents. The evening helped to raise funds for the Salvation Army to feed the less fortunate. Liberty Realty successfully raised over $1,100.

Liberty Realty attended the Hoboken Chamber of Commerce Awards dinner on Nov. 14 and was presented with the Real Estate Office of the Year Award.

“We’d like to thank our friends and neighbors for all their support for keeping Liberty Realty at the top of our industry,” said Joseph Covello, president of Liberty Realty.

The Fund for a Better Waterfront, a nonprofit organization, works tirelessly to create a continuous public waterfront for our New Jersey community. Spanning north to south along the Hudson River, their ambitious plan for public walkways and waterfront park project is 80 percent complete.

“We began in 1990 with the belief that the water’s edge belongs to the public,” said founder Ron Hine. “No one should question a person’s right to fish, stroll, sunbathe, read, nap or simply be there.”

Liberty Realty, the top-rated real estate office in the area, is already on board with the direction of the Fund for a Better Waterfront. Liberty president Covello presented a donation to FBW from the company.

“Quality of life issues are very important to Liberty Realty and its agents,” Covello said.
