Dr. Min Jin Kim, a Jersey City resident, wanted to work and provide service to the growing population of the very community that she is a part of. Her new dental office is located in the Old Colony Square on Grand Street, Jersey City, former home of the Pathmark Supermarket.
“I want everyone to feel welcomed and comfortable coming to the dentist appointment,” Kim said. She was involved with every step of the building of her practice, from researching the location to working with general contractors, to finalizing every little detail of the interior design.
The interior of the office is decorated with balloon lights, cloud fixtures and colors that are attractive to children. Kim is proud that she is able to provide quality dental care in a state of the art facility to children of the Jersey City community and patients with special needs.
With a master’s degree in chemical engineering, Kim worked as a consulting engineer in the field of environmental engineering for four years before deciding to enroll in dental school. Kim is a graduate of Columbia University College of Dental Medicine and completed a two year specialist study as a pediatric dentist at Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn.
Besides working at her office, she holds a position as chief of pediatric dental services at the Department of Dentistry at Jersey City Medical Center (JCMC) where she also teaches pediatric dentistry to dental residents enrolled in the General Practice Residency program at JCMC.
