Weehawken fifth grade Peer Leaders hosted a visit to the Theodore Roosevelt School on June 2. As they have in the past, the Peer Leaders built a “Towel Tower” filled with gently used towels, plus pet supplies, bagged and canned food, and toys, which were presented to Bergen County Humane Enforcement, a pet shelter, and their furry friends.

Bergen County Humane Enforcement is a private organization that also serves Hudson County. Its goal is protecting and rescuing as many lost, unwanted, and stray domestic animals as possible.
