The city of Hoboken held its traditional Ragamuffin Parade on a cold and sunny Tuesday afternoon, stepping off a bit late around 4 p.m. Hoboken motorcycle police and the Hoboken High School band led the procession, which included other bands, funky looking cars, and hundreds of kids dressed as everything from the 126 commuter bus to Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz. Characters from “Stranger Things,” Pokemon creatures, and Ghostbusters also turned out.

Some residents went to great lengths to decorate their houses, with one designated a “Taco Hell” and another with a spooky self-typing typewriter designed to look like a room in “The Shining.”

Enjoy the boo-tiful pictures from the parade and trick-or-treating. Photos by Caren Matzner.
