Ticket issuing has gotten out of control

Dear Editor:

A parking ticket issuer I recently spoke with in front of Tony's Bakery said that the Hoboken PA has been ordered by Dawn Zimmer’s administration to increase the amount of parking tickets written. If you look at the year over year statistics, they are staggering. This in effect is like a hidden/secret tax on Hoboken residents. And some of the parking ticket agents are issuing bogus tickets where signs have been removed at construction sites (and have been replaced with temporary PA issued placards).

Its gotten out of control and is a tax Hoboken residents don't need given what we already pay in property tax in this town. I'd certainly be interested in seeing an objective article on ticket statistics published by your paper, and official comment from the PA and Mayor.
