United Cerebral Palsy of Hudson County to host fundraiser
North Bergen’s United Cerebral Palsy of Hudson County, Inc. is holding a coupon book fundraiser in order to support programs for the developmentally disabled.
Entertainment books cost $30 and include hundreds of discount coupons. Delivery is available.

North Bergen to hold meetings Wednesday
A North Bergen Board of Commissioners’ Meeting will be held this Wednesday, Aug 24 at 11 a.m. in the downstairs conference room at 4233 Kennedy Blvd.
A Caucus Meeting of the North Bergen Board of Education will also be held this Wednesday at 6 p.m. in the conference room at 7317 Kennedy Blvd. A regular Board of Education meeting will be held within the conference room immediately following the caucus meeting.
Free supplies, screenings for the needy in local towns
Dvine Konektion will host an event Saturday, Aug. 20 from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. called Community Outreach Day. It takes place 5516 Jefferson St. in West New York. Participants must be residents of West New York, Guttenberg, North Bergen, Union City or Weehawken.
The day will include distribution of groceries, baby items such as diapers and wipes, school supplies, new and gently used clothing, free diabetes, cholesterol, blood, and glaucoma screenings, and more.

Free concert will feature best of Broadway
The next free concert in the “Summer Concerts on the Hudson” series will feature music from the Golden Age of Broadway. The show will take place at Lincoln Harbor Park on the Weehawken waterfront on a special day: Monday, Aug. 29 at 7 p.m.
This music and dance concert will be an original, one night only production and will feature some of musical theatre’s finest actors and singers including Klea Blackhurst, Ron Bohmer, Chuck Cooper (Tony Award winner – The Life) , Erin Davie (Theatre World award winner - Grey Gardens), Tari Kelly (direct from Broadway’s Anything Goes), N'Kenge, Noah Racey, John Viscardi, and the New York Song and Dance Company.
