Hoboken -- The Hoboken City Council will meet Wednesday night at 7 p.m. The council could adopt a resolution to appoint Councilman David Mello to the Hoboken Housing Authority. Mello, an ally of Mayor Dawn Zimmer, would replace councilman Michael Russo, a vocal opponent of Zimmer, as the council’s representative on the authority.

The council will also vote on a resolution consenting to the mayoral appointment of Quentin Wiest as Business Administrator and director of the Department of Administration for the remainder of Zimmer's term.
The two were likely hired to replace former Business Administrator Arch Liston, who relocated to South Jersey for family reasons in January.
