Within Hudson County’s heated political scene, the more things change, the more they stay the same. Two mayors continued to battle for control of the county’s Democratic party, and several school board elections were held. Gov. Chris Christie continued to ally himself with local mayors and spread his influence around. Hurricane Sandy threw the November election into temporary turmoil, but as always, clear victors emerged from the rubble. Here are some of the photo-worthy moments from politics this year.
