Funeral services were held Jan. 21 for Edward R. Hahner of Jackson, formerly of Jersey City. He passed away Jan. 17. Born in Jersey City, Mr. Hahner resided there for most of his life before retiring to Toms River. More recently, he has been living at Bella Terra in Jackson. Before his retirement, Mr. Hahner was employed for 42 years as a salesman with the Colgate Palmolive Co. in New York City. He was a veteran of the United States Army having served during World War II. Mr. Hahner was predeceased by his wife, Lisetta in 2007. Survivors include: three sons, Carmine Hahner of Clifton, Edward Hahner, Jr. and his wife, Karen of Charleston, N.C., and Robert Hahner of Ocean Township; one sister, Elizabeth Giampaglia of Bayonne; and three grandchildren, Andrew, Lisa and Jeffrey Hahner. Services arranged by the Bizub Quinlan Funeral Home, Clifton.
