To the Editor:
On behalf of the Hudson County Animal League, I would like to thank everyone that cooked, donated food, and attended the pot luck we held at the Old Firehouse on Broadway on Feb. 2. We greatly appreciated all the compliments that people gave, ranging from loving the food, the amount of food, the variety of food, having a great time, enjoying our hospitality, and more. We enjoyed meeting new people and seeing familiar faces.

A special thank you to Art, who spent the day in the kitchen doing the cooking and cleaning. Also thank you to TJ, the senior center coordinator, who was very helpful to us all day. We also had a very nice surprise visit from City Councilmember Ray Greaves, who gave HCAL a generous donation.

We sent all the leftover food to the St. Lucy’s Shelter in Jersey City to feed the people in need.

HCAL is grateful for the community’s support, which has helped us rescue homeless animals throughout Hudson County for the past 19 years and counting. We also look forward to seeing all of you at future pot luck dinners.
