A funeral mass was held March 27 at Our Lady of Mercy Church, Jersey City, for Louise Palluzi, 97. She died Palm Sunday, March 24, at her daughter’s Bayonne residence. A lifelong Jersey City resident, she was the daughter of the late Marietta (Mazza) and Adeli Paluzza. Louise provided home cooked meals for the priests at Our Lady of Mercy Parish, Jersey City for over 20 years. She was a member of the Rosary Society and was a recipient of the Archdiocese of Newark Pro Meritas Award. She donated her services to St. Anthony Montessori School in North Arlington for their arts and crafts program. She was the wife of the late Albert Palluzi; mother of Angela and her late husband James E. Hickey, Amelia and her husband John Furno and Alberta Palluzi; grandmother of James Hickey and his wife Kathleen, Edward Hickey and his wife Kathleen, Albert Hickey and his wife Antoinette, Michael Furno and his wife Laura and John Furno and his wife Erin; great grandmother of eight and two great great grandsons. Services arranged by the Greenville Memorial Home, Jersey City.
