The Hispanic Political Action Committee HPAC today announced their endorsement for Jerry Walker as Mayor of Jersey City.
The political organization issued a statement saying “they believe Walker is a man who knows the city problems such as crime, housing, education and high taxes among others. Mayor Walker would be a reformer, because he has the knowledge, experience and leadership required to lead the city.”
HPAC President Elvin Dominici said "Walker is the strongest defender of our children in the city as he has a long history of working with them. In addition he has included in his ballot three Hispanic candidates, they are: Ray Regalado as councilman at large, Adela Rohena in Ward C and at Grace Giron in Ward D. They represent the best interests of our Hispanic community.”
Dominici, made an impetuous call to “all Hispanics to exercise their right to vote on May 14 and support Team Walker.”
Meanwhile Walker said: "I understand the diversification of Jersey City problems and want to end the legacy of Mayor Glenn Cunningham. I will work for a better future for our city. HPAC represents the desire for new leadership and I can not be more honored and proud for their endorsement. "
