Women’s Club to hold meeting

The Woman's Club of Weehawken will be holding their May meeting on Monday evening, May 20 beginning at 7:15 in the Weehawken Nutrition Center at 201 Highwood Ave. in Weehawken.

Senior boat ride

Mayor Richard Turner and The Township Council along with The Hudson County Office on Aging invite the seniors for a free boat ride and lunch aboard the "Spirit of New Jersey" on Wednesday, July 24. For further information or to sign up please call the Senior Center at 201-319-6060.

Also, the senior bus trips to Atlantic City are open and planned for May 22, June 26, and Sept. 25. The price of the ticket is $35. Please call the Center to sign up. Buses leave from 400 Park Ave. at 8:30.

Bird and fowl walk this week at Meadowlands

The New Jersey Meadowlands Commission and Bergen County Audubon Society are sponsoring their “Third-Tuesday-of-the Month Walk” on May 21. This free, two-hour stroll of Mill Creek Marsh in Secaucus features raptors, waterfowl, and late spring migrants. Attendees should meet at the marsh entrance at 10 a.m. (Directions are on meadowblog.net in the left-hand column. Also check there for last-minute weather updates.)
