HOBOKEN -- Hoboken mom blogger and businesswoman Kathy Zucker spoke to an audience at Columbia Journalism School on May 16 about getting the word out via social media during Hurricane Sandy.

She also touted living in Hoboken in her speech. "I am a third-generation New Yorker," she said. "I moved to Hoboken because it’s so close to NYC, you have the 24-hour PATH train and you got a lot more space for your money. It took a really huge mental adjustment to move to New Jersey, but once I was here, I never wanted to leave. There are a ton of young families in Hoboken because people move here for the bars and restaurants, meet and have a kid."

She says that one person called her "brave" for trying to sell Hoboken to New Yorkers up at Columbia.
