Special Dolphins dominate at local Relay Swim Meet

The five-member contingent representing the Bayonne Recreation Dolphins Special Olympics Swim Team dominated the pool at the recently held 22nd Annual SOHC/Area 1 Invitational Relay Swim Meet. The event was contested at the Lincoln Community School No. 5 pool. The results follow:

4x25-m Freestyle: First place (gold medal) Kaitlyn Frey, Jovanni Torres, Elaina Walsh and Ian Hudacko.

4x50-m Freestyle: First place (gold medal) Jovanni Torres, Elaina Walsh, Ian Hudacko and Thomas Gutierrez.

4x25-m Medley: Third place (bronze medal) (back) Kaitlyn Frey, (breast) Thomas Gutierrez, (fly) Jovanni Torres and (free) Ian Hudacko.

4x50-m Medley: First place (gold medal) (back) Kaitlyn Frey, (breast) Thomas Gutierrez, (fly) Jovanni Torres and (free) Ian Hudacko.

The Dolphins were accompanied by their proud coaches, John Valdora, Denise Bawiec, and Theresa Diaz, who were assisted by Nicole Bawiec, Samantha Ciemiecki, Sheila Hudacko, Anita Nedswick, Ronald Benitez, and Lillian, Ruben, Kira, and Amber Concepcion.
