A celebration of the Eucharist took place July 25 at St. Francis RC Church, Hoboken, for Neil D’Amelio, 47, of Weston, Fla., formally of Secaucus and Rutherford. He passed away suddenly July 21 in Bergen County. A senior executive for Alcatel-Lucent Telecommunication Corporation in Murray Hill, New Jersey for 25 years, Neil was a graduate of Secaucus High School, received his Bachelor’s Degree at St. Peter’s College, and his M.B.A. degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University. He was born in Jersey City. He will be missed by his wife of eighteen years, Maureen; his two daughters, Alyssa and Sophia D’Amelio; his mother, Rose D’Amelio; his brother, Frank D’Amelio and his wife Cam; and three sisters, Michelle Tanner, Margaret Impreveduto and her husband Vincent, and Rose Ann D’Amelio.
He was uncle to Dana, Joseph, Alexa, Sasha, Gianna, Larissa, Vincent, Joseph, James, Bobby, and Julianne. He was predeceased by his father, Joseph D’Amelio and and brother-in-law, Michael Tanner. Services arranged by the Failla Funeral Home, Hoboken.
