Dear Editor:

I have read an article on the Parking Authority stating they don't have the 1.5 million dollars to give to the City of Hoboken. Shame, shame, shame, I was informed that an emergency meeting was called without notifying the Hoboken taxpayer of such meeting. Shame, shame, shame, we will not get into sunshine laws right now. Shame, shame, shame, a resolution was passed to give the City the 1.5 million to close its budget gap. There was only one commissioner who voted present and had the nerve to stand up to the bullies. Shame, shame, shame, this was all done to pacify our mayor and now his administration wants to raise the permit for parking. This will generate revenue so the City could close its budget gap. Shame, shame, shame if you need 1.5 million to close the City of Hoboken's budget gap. Why pick on the little taxpayer?
