Dear Editor:

"....And the Grinch, with his Grinch feet ice cold in the snow, stood puzzling and puzzling, how could it be so? It came without ribbons. It came without tags. It came without packages, boxes or bags. And he puzzled and puzzled till his puzzler was sore. Then the Grinch thought of something he hadn't before. What if Christmas, he thought, doesn't come from a store? What if Christmas, perhaps, means a little bit more?" Dr. Seuss

The spirit of Christmas brings the spirit of gift giving to one another. We exchange material goods and tend to forget that the grandest gifts are those that bring joy to others without the exchange of material goods. For the past two years the Woodrow Wilson School PTO has been honored with the Holiday Concerts performed by the Union City Board of Education Trustee Mr. Kennedy Ng. Mr. Ng is a prolific and internationally accomplished musician who gives his time, skills and musical knowledge to many Union City students. His invaluable support for music education in our schools is well known throughout our community. It is only by introducing the young to great music that we open to them the possibilities that lie within the human spirit and enable them to see visions and dream dreams.

Mr. Ng, thank you for reminding us that the best gift is wrapped up in a person. Your gift of music to us warmed our hearts, and it is deeply appreciated.

Assistant Principal
