An Irish Blessing

To the Editor:

We are truly blessed here at the 56thStreet Senior Center, as Mother Nature spared us any snow or ice on our scheduled St. Patrick’s Day Party on March 13.

We were blessed to have the Bayonne Senior Orchestra with band leader June Sturz; their performance was magnificent as always.

We were blessed with our refreshments and our delicious pizza donated by Prima Pizza and owner Tony De Rosa, our honorary “Irish Man of the Year.”

We are also blessed by having an administration that supports our Senior Center activities and our city’s seniors. We would like to thank Mayor Mark Smith for his attendance and well wishes for the holiday party and his dancing with the seniors to the Irish Melodies; Council President Terrance Ruane for his kind words and Irish Poem; and Third Ward Councilman Ray Greaves for His Irish Greetings and Blessings. We would also like to thank all who helped in any way to make this St. Patrick’s Day party for the seniors of our community a huge success.

An Irish Blessing and thank you from all of us at the 56th Street Senior Center.
