JERSEY CITY – Mayor Steve Fulop will be one of a number of New Jersey Mayors who will take part in the New Jersey Mayors’ Charity Poker Challenge on May 22, at Bally’s Atlantic City in the newly branded Poker Room.

Mayors from across the Garden State will be coming together in to compete for $10,000 that the winner will donate to a charity of their choice. Some of those charities include Visitation Relief Center (aids families displaced/affected by Sandy), Jersey City Youth Foundation (creates enriching programs for Jersey City youth), and others. The event will also kickoff Memorial Day Weekend and the Jersey Shore season.

The event is being hosted by The World Series of Poker as its first annual New Jersey Mayor’s Poker Tournament for Charity. So far some of the mayors who have confirmed to attend include: John G. Ducey, of Brick, David M. Salkin, of Freehold Township, Steven Fulop, of Jersey City, Don Purdy, of Galloway, and Don Guardian, of Atlantic City.
