A funeral mass was offered June 23 at St. Aloysius Church, Jersey City, for Concetta (Connee) Rapolla. She died June 20 . Connee was born in Jersey City and lived there her entire life. She was very active in several organizations. Connee was the president of the Virginia Avenue Block Association, the Jersey City Women’s Club, Astrea Junior Guild and Our Lady of Victories Parish Council. She favored organizations that helped children.

Her nieces and nephews were her pride and joy and, in turn, their children became the focus of her life. Connee was also active in the business world, spending 40 years in the carpet industry, with Stitt and Howell and Galaxy Carpet, two of her long term employers. Connee made a point of keeping in touch with her co-workers after her retirement. Connee also enjoyed traveling, especially through Europe.

Connee was the daughter of the late Flaminio (Phil) and Katherine (Angelo) Rapolla. She was the sister of the late Jeannette Esposito, and leaves behind her sister Ann (Frank) Sardoni and brother, Vincent (Jim) Rapolla. Connee’s world revolved around her family and her cooking, and she was never afraid to try new things. She loved the holidays, and looked forward to making the holiday meals for her family. Connee always had a terrific sense of humor, and a great sense of family. Services arranged by the Greenville Memorial Home, Jersey City.
