Mayor Nicholas Sacco and the Board of Commissioners announced the launch of North Bergen’s official Facebook page and Twitter account on Jan 1, 2017.

With social media a crucial source of news, information, and resources, as well as a way to keep connected to what is going on in the community around us, these new pages will keep residents informed of current and upcoming events, and provide for rapid distribution of emergency information when necessary.

North Bergen’s Facebook and Twitter pages will contain regular postings to keep residents informed about happenings around town, including both social events like Winterfest and significant occurrences like road closures or repair work. There will also be valuable announcements regarding employment opportunities, health seminars, and other affairs beneficial to the community. In addition, the new pages will provide a timely source of information in an emergency, such as a snowstorm or even a major weather event like Hurricane Sandy.

Log on to Facebook and search for NBTownship, and on Twitter search for @NB07047. Links to both sites are available on the township’s web page at northbergen.org.
