A funeral mass was offered Nov. 27 at St. Francis RC Church in Hoboken for Antoinette Tota, 87, known to many as “Ann.” She passed away peacefully in the presence of her family at her daughter’s Secaucus home. She was a retired seamstress with various clothing companies in Hudson County, a member of the International Ladies Garment Union, and a resident of Secaucus more than 25 years. She was predeceased by her husband, Michael C. Tota (1992), her parents, Mauro and Martha, a brother Dominick, a sister Josephine Mezzina, and two brothers-in-law, Paul and Salvatore DeGennaro. Surviving are her only son, Anthony S. Tota and his wife Camille, two daughters, Marietta Racanati (Vincent), Martha Scamporino (Andrew), a brother Vincent “Jimmy” (Lena), two cherished sisters, Julia and Rose DeGennaro. She will be missed by her grandchildren, Pamela, Jillian, Anthony, Michael, Nicholas, Victoria, Andrew and Nicole and five great grandchildren.
