Hoboken Southwest Park opened to the public in September 2017. It is one of the city's resiliency parks and can capture 200,000 gallons of stormwater which helps mitigate flooding in the area.
It was awarded the Jersey Water Works’s One Water Award in 2017, as well as the United States Green Building Council New Jersey Chapter Award for Innovation and Sustainability Best Practices Award in 2018, both in the Public Projects category.
