Funeral services have been held for Malachy Aloysius Coyle, 70, of Hoboken. He died Jan. 8 at his residence. He was born in Baltinglass, County Wicklow, Ireland. Malachy attended University College Dublin from where he received a degree in veterinary medicine. He was board certified in New Jersey in the 1970s and returned to Ireland and subsequently back to New Jersey to practice in 1987 where he continued to practice until his death. Malachy married Magdalen McDonnell in January 1973. Three children were born of the marriage and survive: Malachy and his wife Miriam of London, Jeremy and his wife Kathy of Fort Lee, and Charlotte Coyle of Ireland. He is also survived by two sisters, Brid McGrath of Ireland and Philomena Montani of Switzerland, and brothers Liam, Seamus, and Padraig Coyle of Ireland. Four grandchildren also survive: Gregory, Victoria, and Peter of the U.S. and Oisian Coyle of London.
Services arranged by the Earl F. Bosworth Funeral Home, Hoboken. There will also be services at Joseph Plant Funeral Directors in Ireland with ultimate burial in Baltinglass Cemetery, County Wicklow, Ireland.
