1 cat killed, 1 officer injured, no residents injured in Hoboken fire

HOBOKEN– A fire broke out in Hoboken early Saturday Feb .4 at 10 a.m. at 57 and 59 Newark St..
Police arrived on scene and evacuated the building.
The fire was above the hot dog restaurant.
No resident were injured. One household cat was killed and one officer was injured by smoke inhalation, according to police Chief Ken Ferrante.
“The Hoboken Fire Department did an excellent job,” said Ferrante. “They got the fire out in a half hour.”
