MORAN, KATHRYN C.

85, of Point Pleasant passed away at Ocean Medical Center in Brick on January 31, 2017 with her family at her bedside. Born and raised in Jersey City, she resided for many years in Bayonne before relocating to Point Pleasant in 1979. Mrs. Moran was predeceased by her husband, Captain Clarence J. Moran who died in the line of duty as a Bayonne Fire Captain on February 12, 1969. She was also predeceased by her sister, Lorraine Nelson in 2001. Surviving are her son, Kevin Joseph Moran and his wife, Rosalie; four daughters, Kathy Gelchion and her husband, Michael, Patricia Moran, Sharon Moran and Maureen Bowles and her husband, Patrick; six grandchildren, Jennifer Perillo and her husband, John, Kevin Moran and his wife, Shauna, Kathleen Daly and her husband, Jim, Michael Gelchion, Jr., Brianna Bowles and Patrick Bowles; eight great grandchildren, Alexa, Samantha, Kendall, Madison, Kevin, Meghan, James Michael, and Keira Grace. She is survived by her sister, Joan McCormack and her husband, Bill; many nieces and nephews; and her longtime companion, William Wyres.
