A memorial mass was held Feb. 10 at St. Theresa’s Church in Little Egg Harbor for William “Mickey” Flanagan. He passed away Feb. 3 after a short illness. He was born May 19, 1955 in Jersey City. He recently left his position at Atlantic Cape Community College where he was employed for the last 18 years. He was a very passionate singer and song writer behind closed doors. He was a very talented and published poet, but very humble. He was not a people person, but those he cared about, he held close and loved with his whole heart. William was predeceased by his father Joseph Flanagan, his brothers Blake and Danny Flanagan. He was loved by his wife Gloria Flanagan and daughters Christina Estok and Pamela Burdhimo; his mother Rachael Ondus, his sister Michelle Rodriquez (David), brother Joseph Flanagan (Crystal). He leaves behind his grandchildren Dustin, Kira, Ceili, Sarah, and Jeremy; his nieces Susan Conklin (Chris), Keri Santaiti (Eric), Michelle Flanagan.
