Private funeral services in the town of Loerrach, Germany were held for Ursula M. Wiederkehr, a resident of Hoboken for over fifty years. She passed away Jan. 13 with her family at her side. She was born in Germany to the late Anna and Kurt Wiederkehr.
She immigrated to the United States, became a citizen, and worked in finance for thirty years, beginning at Chemical Bank in New York City.
After retiring, Ms. Wiederkehr spent many years as a dedicated volunteer at Hoboken University Medical Center. She was an active parishioner of St. Matthews Trinity Lutheran Church in Hoboken.
Ms. Wiederkehr is survived by her sister, Ute Eitelmann and brother in law Harold, her nephew Alexander Eitelmann, grandnephews Phillip and Leon and her grandniece Anna. She was predeceased by her niece Andrea.
Ms. Wiederkehr is also survived by her friend, Mary Elizabeth Perry.
