Division of Recreation to offer “T-Ball Squirts” for 3-6 year olds and “Parent & Me T-Ball Squirts” for 2-3 year olds

The Recreation Division will team up with the US Sports Institute for “T-Ball Squirts” for 3-6 year olds and “Parent and Me T-Ball squirts” for 2-3 year olds. These are a great way to introduce your young sluggers to the exciting game of baseball. T-Ball Squirts focuses on the fundamental skills of the game; including hitting, throwing, catching and running the bases. The progressive T-Ball curriculum enables each child to develop their skills, and understanding of the game.
Using safe and developmentally appropriate equipment, core components of T-Ball are learned through a series of fun games and activities designed to reinforce fundamental skills and incorporate game situations.
The program will begin on April 22. Sessions run for a 7 week period. Make up classes will take place after the last scheduled session. Sessions will take place at 16th Street Park. “T-Ball Squirts” for 3 & 4 year olds meet from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m.; 5 and 6 year olds meet from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. “Parent & Me T-Ball Squirts” for 2-3 year olds meet from 2:30-3:30 p.m. Spaces are limited. The fee for the 7 week program is $115.00. Register by March 8 and receive a 10% discount.
