This April 2017 will mark the 100th anniversary of WWI

Dear Editor:
Let Hoboken not forget this historic event. This One Mile Square City was probably the most active military location of the war. Thousands of young Soldiers, Sailors and Marines came into Hoboken by troop trains down at Marshall Ferry and Jackson St. they marched up 1st, 2nd and 3rd Street to awaiting troopships to take them overseas to fight the “HUN”.
It was up at these piers that Gen Black Jack Pershing addresses the troops on an upcoming battle and said- some of you will die, when you die, you go to heaven or hell.
If you lived, it’s back to Hoboken.
Thus our famed legend Heaven, Hell or Hoboken.
