HUDSON COUNTY — The streets were plowable Tuesday morning in Hudson County as local residents stayed inside thanks to blizzard predictions and warnings from the Office of Emergency Services to stay off the roads. Weather forecasters still predict snow will fall all day, with accumulations of 8 inches or more.
Public schools in the county were closed. Some expected a delayed opening for Wednesday. We will update tonight as we have details.
In Hoboken, the city’s municipal garages ran out of space and the city provided free parking “for residents who have valid parking permits and who will not need access to their vehicles for a week on a first-come, first-served basis starting at immediately. Parking will be provided at the parking lot located at 12th Street and Madison Street.”
