KORBELAK, MARY DOROTHY, OP

Sister Mary Dorothy died on March 9, 2017 at Rosary Hill Home in Hawthorne, NY after an extended illness. She was born May 2, 1929 in Bayonne, the daughter of George Korbelak and Anna (Soncha) Korbelak. She is predeceased by her parents, her brother George and her sister Georgianne and her brother-in-law William Balint. She is survived by her sister Kathy (Bob) Ascough and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Sister Mary Dorothy entered the Community on March 7, 1959 and made her Profession of Vows, on September 14, 1960. Sister Mary Dorothy graduated from St. Joseph’s Hospital School of Practical Nursing in Yonkers as an LPN prior to her entrance into our Community.
