PIRKOWSKI, MARION (nee: Sowinski)

Marion passed away at home on March 8, 2017. Born in Bayonne, she was lifelong resident. Marion was a cargo expediter at the Military Ocean Terminal at Bayonne where she worked for 30 years. She was active years ago with the Our Lady of Mt. Carmel PTA and the women’s bowling league. She was predeceased by her husband Frank Pirkowski, her parents Stanley and Mary (Fiolek) Sowinski, her siblings Joseph Sowinski (Dorothy), Eleanor Jakubik (Henry) and Dorothy Lesiak (William) and her son-in-law Frank Sweeney. Mother of Joan Borinski and her husband John and Denise Sweeney and her partner Jack Thompson. Grandmother of Michael, Colleen and Erin Sweeney. Sister of Evelyn Gniazdowski and her late husband Stanley. Also survived by her brother-in-law Stephen Pirkowski and his wife Gisela and several nieces and nephews.
