HOBOKEN – Superintendent Dr. Christine Johnson announced March 21 that the Hoboken Middle School will have a new principal, Dr. Sharon Davis.
“I am proud to announce that Dr. Sharon Davis was hired to serve as Hoboken Middle School Principal,” wrote Johnson in the district newsletter. “I am currently working with her to determine an official start date. As soon as that is agreed upon, I will announce a meet and greet for all staff, students, and parents.”
Last January the district announced plans to create a middle school separate from Hoboken High School next fall.
The two schools presently share a building, although they are considered separate. Some parents have said they would like the younger kids to be in a separate place from the older ones.
The middle school will be located in the AJ Demarest building located next to Church Square Park on Fourth and Garden Streets.
