Funeral services were held March 24 for Gloria M. DeLeva, 93, a lifelong resident of Jersey City. She passed away March 21 after a battle with pancreatic cancer. Gloria graduated Dickinson High School in 1941 at the age of 16. She worked for T.J Lipton Company for 10 years before leaving to start a family. Gloria was a parishioner of St. Nicholas R.C. Church, Jersey City. Gloria loved spending time with her family, dancing and parties. She was an avid NY Yankees and Giants fan. Her greatest joys were her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and celebrating their accomplishments. Gloria was the wife of the late Joseph R. DeLeva who passed away in 2002 at the age of 74. She was mother to Linda Bloom and her husband Stephen of Middletown, and Lorraine Moriarty and her husband Bryant of Ridgefield Park; grandmother to Matthew, Kristen, Bryant Jr., Brandon and Danielle; great-grandmother to Brielle, Bradley, Anthony, Michael and Brayden; sister to Philomenia Adams of Florida and the late Ann, Agnes, Angela, Jack, Louis, Armond, Albert and William; aunt to many nieces and nephews.
