
HUDSON COUNTY — “Carrie Pilby,” a new movie starring Bel Powley and Jersey City native Nathan Lane — and based on a novel by Hoboken-based writer Caren Lissner — runs in theaters through Thursday. It’s also available on demand and for download on your computer starting this Tuesday, April 4, including Amazon, iTunes, and Optimum.
The comedy, also starring Vanessa Bayer, Gabriel Byrne, Jason Ritter, William Moseley, and Colin O’Donoghue, premiered in six cities over the weekend.
The film is directed by Susan Johnson and received positive reviews this week by publications including the Village Voice and at Rogerebert.com.
The soundtrack, including original music by Michael Penn, is available on Amazon. The film is being distributed by the Orchard and the soundtrack production was coordinated by Hoboken resident Mike Cimicata.
