Bayonne Chamber of Commerce thanks supporters

To the Editor:

The Bayonne Chamber of Commerce recently held our 3rd Annual Bayonne Chamber of Commerce Peninsula Gala at the beautiful Bayonne Golf Club. The annual Peninsula Gala is a celebration of Bayonne’s vibrant and growing business community, its leaders, legends, and Chamber visionaries. All of these powerful elements combine to make this event as unique as the City it represents.
On behalf of the Chamber Board of Trustees and the members we represent, I would like to sincerely congratulate all of our honorees. We paid honor to Richard R. Fisette, a very deserving recipient of the late, great Daniel Kane Legends Award; I.M.T.T. Bayonne as the recipient of the much coveted Business of the Year Award; Vincent and Toni Bottino as our city’s well known and well loved Business Persons of the Year, and Chamber Hall of Famer Robert Doria who selflessly served as President of The Bayonne Chamber for 13 years. Each honoree in his or her own right epitomizes dedication and service to our community and shares their pride of our community by paying it forward in both business and personal philosophies.
We would like to thank all of our guests in attendance on this very special evening. In addition, we thank everyone who placed a journal ad and especially the very generous sponsors. The incredible generosity and spirit of our sponsors was the driving force behind the success of the evening’s program.
Once again, rising to the occasion with its unwavering support of the Bayonne business community is Platinum sponsor CarePoint Health/Bayonne Medical Center. CarePoint fully understands its commitment to our community and is committed to delivering exceptional care to our citizens. Special gratitude and recognition also goes out to our Prime Sponsors – The Provident Bank, I.M.T.T. Bayonne, Delta Self Storage, Shoprite, and PSE&G.
Rising to the occasion once again was our incredible Gala Committee; Co-Chaired by Annette Rubin (Exit On The Hudson Realty) and Dina Santarelli (Sonic Hudson Burger) with guidance and support from our Event Committee Chair Tracy D’Alessandro (Angela’s Mums), Jack Kennedy (IMTT Bayonne), Billy Tagliarini (J&J Printing), Cathy Shull Fernald (Carepoint Health), and Irene Post, Chamber Administrative Assistant. This group makes hard work look easy, and most important—fun!
On behalf of our very proud organization, I ask you to please support our member businesses. Whether small or large, these businesses employ our fellow residents and family members. They all take a great deal of pride in what they do and contribute to our growing local economy. Bayonne literally represents the gateway to the center of what many consider to be the greatest region in the world. Our city’s business community is flourishing, and the Bayonne Chamber of Commerce at 105 years strong is just getting started.
