Parts of Hoboken, Jersey City, Bayonne suffer from flash floods

HUDSON COUNTY — The National Weather Service issued a flash flood warning throughout the area until 4:30 p.m. Friday. The rain stopped before that time, but there were still sudden floods in areas of Hoboken, Jersey City, and Bayonne.
In Hoboken, the city tweeted about why there was flooding despite new flood pumps. Several cars had to be towed out of flood waters. The area near Ninth Street on the west side was flooded but the waters receded by 5 p.m.

Attached is a photo of the area underneath the 22nd Street Light Rail station in Bayonne.
