Dear Editor:
He gave an exceptional example of participation in his ward at the last council meeting, concerning the new plans for Newark Street to Willow, which this newspaper has seen to skip over. He has proven himself to be certainly worthy and has impressed the senior in this ward with their problems of safety!
I kept remembering and perhaps felt the ghost of Helen Hirsch pleading on behalf of those of us who are now more numerous and fall graciously into the senior citizen category. I spoke seriously and specifically on this matter, along with some of relatively new citizens, as well as those long timers for the handicapped and the elderly who also need access to safety in the 1st Ward. This was brought to the attention of the two men who put their whole plan up on the monitor for all the citizens here, yet never mentioned the seniors who also need access to cross out streets.
We the people are a voting part of this metropolis that we now call the new Hoboken. Let us not forget the “old” Hoboken, on Newark Street or anywhere else.
