To the Editor:
Touting a message of more jobs, fewer taxes, and more school funding, Democrat Christopher Munoz deserves voter support on June 6 in the Democratic Primary for New Jersey State Assembly.
Christopher Munoz, of Bayonne, has served the people of Bayonne with distinction and dedication, and has earned the right to a two-year term for NJ State Assembly. The 31st Legislative District includes all of Bayonne and part of Jersey City.
Munoz has pledged to be part of a team that can deliver on a promise of more jobs and fewer taxes for the people of New Jersey. The Democrat’s message should resonate with every voter across District 31: Munoz is from the party of cutting waste, lowering taxes, and creating jobs.
Munoz is committed to making it easier for small businesses to thrive in our state, which is a key to a stronger, thriving New Jersey.
We believe his leadership will help deliver the tax relief that the Assembly and Gov. Christie have failed to provide over the past decade.
A teacher and healthcare professional, Munoz was first elected to the Bayonne Board of Education and assisted in not only changing school board policy for the better but assisted in finding a budgetary short fall. Munoz has been advocating for adequate funding for Bayonne since he took office in 2016. Munoz is a husband and father, and his children attend the Bayonne public schools; he knows what public school parents want and need.
He strongly believes voters should have to approve all state borrowing, government should be transparent, and the people’s voice must be heard. Munoz is an advocate for more efficient government, citing rampant waste that must be curtailed.
With experience in both the delivery of healthcare and the insurance industry itself, Munoz is focused on the tremendous challenges New Jersey faces in terms of public health policy and needs. He believes senior citizens must be taken care of and have access to programs that will decrease the burden of rising taxes, healthcare costs, and seniors must receive standard of living adjustments in their pensions.
Munoz regards public safety as our number one priority. Munoz wants state transportation funds to create pedestrian bridges on Route 440 in Bayonne and Jersey City. He also wants additional money for Bayonne and Jersey City for community policing efforts.
Munoz also wants to settle the NJ Transit Police strike and ensure that NJ veterans have access to affordable housing, job opportunities, and receive the respect they deserve.
Residents of District 31 are fortunate to have a democratic representative like Christopher Munoz running for State Assembly. He is a high-caliber, progressive-thinking leader who listens to his constituents while working for a better state.
