Navy seal dies during Fleet Week demonstration in Jersey City

JERSEY CITY — A U.S. Navy Seal was reported dead after his parachute failed to open during a Fleet Week event at Liberty State Park shortly after noon on Sunday, May 28.
The U.S. Coast Guard, which was on the scene as part of Fleet Week, rescued the fallen Navy Seal from the water. He was transported to Jersey City Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
This was part of a Navy Seal Leap Frog demonstration, officials said.
