To the Editor:
The Bayonne Civic League was formed earlier this year on three key pillars: stewardship, service, and participation in local government. As a nonprofit, nonpartisan civic organization, we offer an avenue to share ideas and provide an infrastructure to increase community development. Our vision for Bayonne is retain, reinvest, renew.
In month one, we participated in the citywide Earth Day cleanup on April 22. As we move into the summer, we have several of our own events and activities planned for the coming months. At our next meeting, we will be collecting clothes and donating them to those in need. In August, date to be determined, we will also be hosting a wine tasting event, which is open to the full public.
If you are interested in learning more about the Bayonne Civic League or would like to be added to our mailing list, please email Bayonne.Civic.League@gmail.com. You can also like our Facebook page at Www.facebook.com/BayonneCivicLeague.
This group is open to any and all who are interested in making Bayonne a better place to live. We hope to see you at one of our upcoming events!
