Cifuentes guides Red Wings over Bruins

Closing out their regular season the (6-0-1) Bruins have already clinched a spot in the JCC of Bayonne Jr. Division Floor Hockey “Gold Medal” round. For the (3-3) Red Wings it’s a perfect tune up game before their playoff bout with the Blackhawks. Exploding out to a 3-0 lead the Red Wings were flying high as Aaliyana Cifuentes drilled three goals off assists by David Matos. Getting up off the canvas the Bruins fought back with three straight goals with Anthony Baez (1 goal, 2 assists) and Christian Benson (2 goals, 1 assist) spearheading the surge. The 3-3 log jam lasted until the final five minutes when the Asouti brothers, Amir and Louai notched assists by firing passes to a red hot Aaliyana Cifuentes who racked up two more goals to put the Red Wings up 5-3. In the closing minutes the Bruins offense had their chances as Sebastian Echeverry and Mariam Rasslan zipped passes up court but the Red Wings defense hunkered down to hand the Bruins their first defeat of the season.
